New Start+ Intern

Attending the University as a first-generation student was successful with the guidance of the New Start program. It opened the doors to finding a community of students that like me were just beginning their colligative experience. Additionally, it granted me a place to find myself and be part of the University and the program by giving me the opportunity to work with the New Start team as a Resident Assistant this past summer 2018! Working as an RA helped me develop and strengthen my skills such as communication and professionalism that have served me as a great benefit academically! Experiencing working as an RA with the program, made me realize the that I wanted to keep working for New Start. This lead me to not hesitate in taking the opportunity to apply as a New Start Plus intern when it was announced. New Start has helped me ever since I stepped on campus as a freshman, and I want to be able to help more students who like me need a guide to help them achieve their future endeavors!
