We know that you have a lot of questions about New Start and about your student's first year at the University of Arizona. During typical New Student Orientation programs, UA offers a parent session to answer those questions. However, we understand that it would be inconvenient or impossible for many families to come to Tucson to move their student in for New Start (Friday, June 9) and then come back later for orientation (Wednesday, June 14). To make sure that you can still get the information you need, New Start partners with the office of Orientation and New Student Services to offer a New Start Parent Orientation on Saturday, June 10 from 9am to noon. At this program, you will learn more about what your student will experience during New Start plus hear from campus partners like Parent and Family Programs and Financial Aid to answer your questions about your student becoming a UA Wildcat.
New Start Parent Orientation is free but does not have any lodging options, so if you require overnight accommodations please make those independently. To sign up for New Start Parent Orientation, please have your student indicate your attendance when they complete their online contract. Do not sign up for parent orientation via your student's Next Steps Center.
